WW2 Type Vietnam War Era - 1980s M1 Helmet Paratrooper Chin Strap New Old Stock NSN 8470-00-032-XXXX This auction is for the Chin Strap Only. The helmet is not included and is shown for demonstration purposes only. As designed for the WWII M1 Helmet, this is the Vietnam pattern of chin strap. Will fit any M1 helmet WW2 to present. New Old Stock and stored for years. Marked "Lot 2". It is in new condition and has never been used. This is a two piece M1 Helmet replacement Paratrooper Chin Strap. It is genuine US government issue and not a copy or a painted NATO strap. It was made in the USA by Lighthouse for the Blind in Texas in the mid 80s. They are not painted metal. The T1 ball & hook and helmet clips are parkerized / anodized. Most of the balls and hooks have a dull finish and others are more sheen. It has a "P" on the clasp, not an anchor. These are 1980s vintage but the style is unchanged since Korea, just the thickness of the webbing. The NSN is 8470-00-032-XXXX. They were manufactured for the US Army by Lighthouse For The Blind. OD-7 in color, cotton webbing. The web strap does have the popper on it that secures to the airborne helmet liner. Discounts are available on bulk purchases. I apologize to any Canadian Buyers in advance. Canada Post does not have a Small Package Rate for Canada, so you end up getting screwed with high postage for fullsize delivery. I wish I could ship for cheaper but Canada Post sets the rates, not me. Postage & packaging to Canada will be $12.00 and $7.50 for the US. Overseas postage to GB and Europe is $10.00 For Multiple items to Canadian buyers, there is no increase in postage. For everyone else, additional straps are $.50 for postage for the 1st five.
